...were observed this afternoon along the creek in the dip of Gapland Rd east of the intersection with Catholic Church Rd in S FRED county.  The Kingfisher was very vocal.  Also present at the site were up 1/2 dzn E Bluebirds.  Numerous crows were in the fields and in flight in the area.
At the home site, i would love to declare BC Chickadees based on the presence of splashes of white on the primary edges, but probably won't feel comfortable with this ID until we go back to a non-invasive year where i can observe the "normal" birds in isolation. Pine Siskins are NOT present at the feeder...my earlier sighting of a single bird is suspect at this point.
