On the way to Reese's Corner Rd, I had the imm. Golden Eagle flyby a little
before the turn onto Ricauds Branch Road...I assume it's the same individual
that's been seen by a few in the general area.
After dipping on the Rough-legged Hawk yesterday evening, I decided to give
it another go this evening....4 Bald Eagles, 3 Red-tailed Hawks, 2 Northern
Harriers, and a Cooper's Hawk later, I finally located the bird perched in
the treeline just right of the grain elevators. While scanning for the hawk,
I also had a flock of 20 Meadowlarks land in the field.
And since I was in the area, I decided to swing back in to Chesapeake Farms
and see the Golden-crowned Sparrow again, which nicely showed promptly at
430pm.
