Visited the "flats" around 2:30 just to see what was there. No gulls, no ducks, 9 flyover Canada Geese and 2 Killdeer picking around in the frozen earth.

In today's mail I received my copy of the 2nd Atlas of the Breeding Birds of Maryland and the District of Columbia. It is gorgeous. I will settle down with it tonight and enjoy.
