Hi all  I got  a phone call yesterday afternoon  from a friend who wanted to ride to Ocean City today . We went to the inlet briefly scoping the waters  and  Skimmer Island  finding none of recently reported  goodies and catching a lunch in Delaware and then back home . He is not a serious birder. But it was a great day to be out  any how.

Birds noted however for the first day of 2011 where

Surf Scoters   15
Red breasted Merganser 2
Common Loon   8
Purple Sandpiper 
Ruddy Turnstone 
Sanderling 
Rock Pigeon 
Greater Black Backed Gull
Great Blue Heron   2
