Rick and others,

Sorry for the brief message but I was on site and emailing from the
Blackberry at the time. Fort Armistead Park is at the foot of the Key Bride on
I-695 at the city/AA County line (DeLorme 58 C3). Take I-695 to Exit 1 and
turn left (east) on Hawkins Point Road. After the road bends right, take the
exit on the right to Fort Armistead Road. Follow this road to its end at the
parking lot in Fort Armistead Park. The bird was intially found by Keith
near the T-shaped fishing pier and nearby metal breakwaters. It then worked
its way to the left along the seawall and briefly disappeared into a long
narrow inlet that parallels the base of the bridge. After a short time we
relocated it along the seawall, swimming toward the pier. After a brief time
near the pier it again swam left toward the inlet. These locations are no
more than a few hundred yards apart and the bird was never very far out.

Good luck to chasers, and a big thanks to Keith for another great find!

near what main roads, etc.) Some of us are clueless unless you provide at
least some basic info...
