I took a ride down MD 213 today south of Elkton in hopes of spotting some
pipits--no luck with that, but I did see five meadowlarks in a field just
north of Cayots Corner Road, which was a pleasant surprise. Other birds seen
on the ride down and back include two immature bald eagles, a kestrel, and
three black vultures, not to mention numerous juncos and sparrows. Also lots
of pretty horses at Winbak Farms, one of which rolled around in the snow.
