Hi everyone,
I stopped by Lake Kittimaqundi this afternoon as I had a work-stop in the area, and to my surprise there is lots of construction activity going on at the lake. These changes don't appear to have Nature Appeal. For one, they have lopped down many of the trees and shoreline buffer near the shops and restaurants; They also have cleared many trees towards the headwaters of the lake-- they are piled up neatly; the third thing I noticed was they filled in, and built a bridge in the middle of the lake. The shoreline they are building for this feature is apparent on the side facing the headwaters-- a manmade stone-type wall. I was just wondering if anyone had any idea of what the end result will be?

The quick bird was very slow, no ducks or geese; best bird was a fly-through Pileated Woodpecker, which I confirmed was a first for me at that location after looking at my notes..

Take care,
