Jon,

The Howard County Dept. of Public Works is putting in a new sewer
line, parallel to the existing line. Also, the Columbia Association
is preparing to dredge the lake to remove years worth of accumulated
silt.

Hi everyone,
I stopped by Lake Kittimaqundi this afternoon as I had a work-stop
in the area, and to my surprise there is lots of construction
activity going on at the lake. These changes don't appear to have
Nature Appeal. For one, they have lopped down many of the trees and
shoreline buffer near the shops and restaurants; They also have
cleared many trees towards the headwaters of the lake-- they are
piled up neatly; the third thing I noticed was they filled in, and
built a bridge in the middle of the lake. The shoreline they are
building for this feature is apparent on the side facing the
headwaters-- a manmade stone-type wall. I was just wondering if
anyone had any idea of what the end result will be?
