I managed to get out for some birding with my son Seamus this morning and got great views of the drake harlequin at Ft Armistead. He was in the channel with a few Canvasbacks, ruddies and Buffleheads from when I arrived at 9am until 9:15 when he flew off on his own in a westerly direction. I didn't get a chance to see how far we flew, but he was low over the water so it may not have been very far.
A nice bird for the Baltimore area!
