All:

Just talked to the landowners of the property below, they are interested
in selling to people who are conservation/natural history oriented and it
would be a shame to have this property which is immediately adjacent to
the Stronghold go to a developer or McMansion type. The house is very
modest and the grounds have been "improved" only in the sense of gardens
and wildlife plantings, so it seems both affordable and appropriate to
offer this to the natural history people first.

They emailed me the blurb below and, if interested, people should contact
them directly:

We are selling our humble home on 5 acres adjoining the Stronghold Inc,
property on the west side of Sugarloaf Mountain in Frederick County,
MD. I would love to see some fellow naturalists become the new
stewards here. Our land has old field, pasture, new tree growth, two
ponds, and a wetland, surrounded by over 7,000 acres of mature woodland
in the lowest population density area in our region. The address is 856
Mt
Ephraim Road, Dickerson,MD 20842. Contact Mike Tolker at 301-874-2825.

My apologies for this rare off-topic post on my part.

Keeping Things Whole

In a field
I am the absence
of field.
This is
always the case.
Wherever I am
I am what is missing.

When I walk
I part the air
and always
the air moves in
to fill the spaces
where my body's been.

We all have reasons
for moving.
I move
to keep things whole.
