I'm getting over the flu, so a little birding-by-car was the best I
could do today. Okay, I did step outside to nab some more photos of
the continuing ICELAND GULL. The bird was where it normally has been
seen, at the Northeastern-most tip of the park, closest to the
lighthouse. The lighthouse held but one cormorant today, of the
double-crested variety.
If anyone is interested in doing good, there is a male Canvasback with
a shot up wing that is hanging out at the main boat launch area. It
should be very easy to find, but somehow capturing this bird to rescue
it might prove a bit tricky. But if someone knows someone who'd like
to try, please do... and keep me posted.
Good Birding,
