Hi Everyone,

Jim Green just found a male NORTHERN PINTAIL on Barren Creek in Mardela Springs as viewed from Fire Protection Rd. Great find, Jim! I remember that Mike Ostrowski had one near this area back in December. I, on the other hand, have never seen a pintail in Wicomico County. (Fingers crossed for a little daylight after the last meeting of the afternoon!)

Multiple folks have seen the Ross's and Greater White-fronted Geese today, but Mike Walsh reports that the geese had moved over to nearby Waller Rd (from Log Cabin Rd) at one point. Yesterday Sam Dyke had an adult BLUE MORPH ROSS'S GOOSE in the Snow Goose flock but did not relocate it today. We'll all be keeping our eyes out for that one down here!

I checked the Johnson Rd pond today (just west of the spot where Johnson Rd passes over US 13), and it continues to hold 4 REDHEADS, 6 AMERICAN WIGEON, 3 GADWALL, 4 AMERICAN COOTS, and several other species.

Have fun,
