Eleven Cackling Geese were in Washington Channel, Hains Pt, DC, midway down, at mid day. They were doing their usual thing, keeping close together in a tight little clan, amidst the enormous Canada flock. I could only get seven in one frame. Later on most of this flock moved to the river, and to the lawns on the VA shore. This is the largest clan I have ever seen in the metro area. Photos at:
