This morning I arrived at the Tulip Loop at Point Lookout State Park
around 7:45, along with Fred Shaffer and Anna Urciolo. We soon
encountered Jim Green and were joined by others later in the morning -
totaling about 10 birders until about 11:00AM. We kept vigil at sites
65, 67, & 69 and explored the other campsite loops and adjacent open
waters. As of noon when I left Point Lookout, no one had seen the Wood
Stork. After leaving the Tulip Loop, I checked out the point and had 3
GREAT CORMORANT, which were a nice consolation. Good luck to anyone
planning to search for the stork and please post if you saw it this
afternoon.
Good birding!
