Yesterday we walked around Hashawha in Carroll County. Still very cold and the place is very muddy. I did not see many birds they must have been hiding from me. I did see one unknown hawk in the distance, lots of bluebirds, Canada Geese and there was one Chickadee at the visitor center feeders that I thought could be a Black Capped Chickadee. I stayed a good distance away so I would not scare it so my picture is not the greatest but you can see what I call the white hockey stick on one side of the bird.

The Chickadee is number one, unknown hawk is number three

I was surprised to see a turtle at the Hashawha lake, the temps were only in the thirties and it was mostly cloudy out. But it looked like the turtle was trying to sun itself.

Back in my own yard. I am still seeing the Pine Siskins and my Pine Warbler. I am also pretty sure I still have the Black Capped Ckickadee here too.

Also seen this week in my yard , I am pretty sure is the Fox Sparrow, which is number 9 on my first page of the gallery.

Good Birding,
Eileen
