Hi Everybody: I spent an hour early this AM looking for Dave C.'s BLACK
SCOTER which he reported on Monday afternoon. I had no luck finding it.
Other birds seen on the river included:

Mallard 3
Amer. Wigeon 5
Redhead 45-50 Constantly diving and in a cloeknit area.
They seem to be moving bigtime
Greater Scaup 40-45 (All appeared to be greater)
Common Mergansers 4 (all flybys headed downriver)

There were also 30+ American Coots upriver, 10 Horned Grebes (8 across the
river against the Va. shore and 2 upriver on the MD side) and one
Double-crested Cormorant.
I am leading an ANS/MBC trip that meets at Riley's Lock this evening at 5
PM. Maybe the Black Scoter will reappear.
