I did some birding in Western MD today. Highlights were a REDHEAD at
Mason Road Pond (on Mason Road near Rocky Gap SP; certainly the best
stop of the day), a HERRING GULL in with Ring-billed Gulls at the
Cumberland Terminus, and 4 FOX SPARROWs at my feeders in the snow when
I returned home. Little Meadows Lake and Piney Reservoir are still
mostly frozen with just a little bit of open water in spots.
