The year 1961 was a busy one (or so I've read), but what we're celebrating tomorrow night is the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Patuxent Bird Club chapter of the MD Ornithological Society, in February of that year. Please join us tomorrow night at the joint meeting of the Pax Bird Club and the Prince George's Audubon Society as we celebrate our first half-century with a look back at the history of birding in the county. Dr. Don Messersmith, who certainly needs little introduction, will be giving a talk - it might surprise people to find out what changes have taken place over the years!

The talk will be at the College Park Airport Annex at 7:30. The program is, as always, free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. See the PG Audubon website for directions to the meeting location, as well as to find out about upcoming field trips: http://www.pgaudubon.org .

Hope to see people there tomorrow night!
