I led an Audubon Naturalist Society "Late Winter Bird Trek" into
Howard County today, where many of the participants had never birded.

Highlights included 4 Fox Sparrows at Schooley Mill Park, a
(continuing) pair of Redheads and an active pair of Belted
Kingfishers at Centennial Lake, a 2nd year Herring Gull with
Ring-billed Gulls at Wilde Lake in Columbia, and 5-6 Horned Grebes
and (only) four Common Mergansers at Triadelphia Reservoir, seen from
Greenbridge Rd. on the Montgomery County side.
