Good afternoon all,
Moments ago, as I stepped out from my shop on my long commute home (ha,ha, 1 minute; a minute and a half in bad weather!) I looked up and immediately saw a large hawk soaring over my neighbors field behind us. I guessed (correctly) by its large size, slow circling and straight out wings, that it was a Bald Eagle. I put my stuff down on the bench outside my shop and pulled out my bins. It was a nice adult, circling slowly about 200-300 feet up and eventually came over the yard, then went higher and headed west. This is my 19th sighting for this species since we moved here. My only other March sighting was on March 13, 2009, an immature bird.

Lots of bluebird activity today too.
