Hi all,
 
  I went up to Howard  Co  to follow-up on Kurt Swartz tip on the Red breasted Mergansers.(thanks Kurt) They were there, and I got to study them for over an hour. It lasted until two park workers took a boat with an outboard motor on the lake-zip! they were gone. I didn't do a thorough search of birds, but here's my list:
 
Red breasted Merganser  2 (males)
Lesser Scaup  1-2
Bufflehead  4
Ring neck Duck -several
Hooded Mergansers
Green winged Teal (hen)
Red head
Canada Geese
Mallard
Mallardx black duck
Am. Black Duck
American Coot
Canvas back 2-3
Turkey Vulture
Belted Kingfisher
Fish Crow
Common Crow
Ring billed Gull
