Mostly sunny; 53-60 degrees; good to excellent visibility; winds
northwesterly and strong, 13-21 mph, gusting to 29 mph

Raptor Observations:
Good flight of accipiters coming in low on northwest winds.  The two
harriers were stunning adult males.

Non-raptor Observations:
Almost 200 Tree Swallows; 4 Northern Rough-winged Swallows, first of the
season; 1 Red-throated Loon; 6 Surf Scoters; 1 Bonaparte's Gull; 60+ gulls
moving north

Site Description:
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at
the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays.
