My brother Mike and I birded some spots in Wicomico County on Saturday on
our way to Ocean City for the pelagic. The wind really picked up around noon
which made finding birds on the water difficult, but we still had some good
sightings. Here are some of the highlights:

Nutters Neck WMA:
Tree Swallow - my 45th closeout
Purple Finch - heard flying over and briefly seen perched by Mike

Salisbury Landfill:
Laughing Gull 300 The first big group I've seen this year.
Ring-billed Gull 100
Herring Gull 3000
Lesser Black-backed Gull 6 At least four adults and two first
cycles.
Great Black-backed Gull 50

Waterview:
Northern Gannet - 5 - Not often reported in the county, partly because of
the Somerset county line being so close.

Pemberton Park:
Horned Grebe - 3
Greater Yellowlegs - 1
Pine Warbler - 2

Just before meeting other birders for dinner in Ocean City, we stopped to
check Skimmer Island:

Brant (Atlantic) 69
Canada Goose 4
Mallard 10
Bufflehead 25
Red-breasted Merganser 6
Great Blue Heron 1
Great Egret 6 FOY
Snowy Egret 1 FOY - New spring arrival record for Worcester in eBird
American Oystercatcher 20 exact count
Sanderling 4
Dunlin 2
Herring Gull 275
Great Black-backed Gull 100
Common Grackle 2

And finally, as we were walking into the restaurant at 7:30pm, we saw and
heard a Black-crowned Night-Heron flying over the building,
