I just looked down at the lake across the road and was standing there with
my binocs trying to figure out what this odd white thing that I was seeing
down there was. Then an immature (I'd say maybe 3rd year as he was starting
to get some white in the head) BALD EAGLE flew through my view. He was
flying south over the lake. That's when I decided to fire up the scope and
get a closer look at the white object. Yes, folks, it was a full adult Bald
Eagle sitting in a tree just on the other side of the lake. I was having
trouble determining this because I had to look thru some trees on this side
to see it.

And in another recent development, the HERMIT THRUSH that I was seeing about
a month ago when we still had snow on the ground showed up again. He was
feeding along the path that goes up past our water garden.

I'm going to walk down to the lake and see if I can get a better view of the
eagles. Wish me luck.
