Howdy,

I was sans-internet this weekend, so this note is relatively late. Friday morning, I briefly birded Pt. Lookout SP and was pleased at the plethora of passerines. There was nothing particularly rare in the woods, but there were good numbers of Pine Warblers spread throughout the park. Many Cedar Waxwings were gleaning seeds from willow catkins in the parking lot of the marina. A lone NORTHERN GANNET seen trucking south down the bay.

Later that afternoon while offshore of Calvert Cliffs, our fishing party observed eight more NORTHERN GANNETS make a swooping north-to-south u-turn, as if their GPS recalculated a more oceanic route to Quebec.

Good birding!
Matt
