Hi all,

I birded Aspen Hill Park in Rockville late this morning. The highlight being an immature Red tailed Hawk trying to prey upon the woodducks in the swampy area. While admiring the ducks, a flock of Common Crows flew in cawing and making all kinds of racket. The ducks, which were feeding on the groundamong the skunk cabbage, immediately looked up and took to the water. The Red-tail made 2 passes at the ducks, whilst pursued by the Crows. The Wood Ducks warily swam past me several minutes later.
