Aspen Run Today

Another rarity down at the lake today. BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT HERON flew up
into a tree at the south end. This is probably about the 5th one that has
occurred here. That would make it an every-five-years bird. They do not nest
around here that I know of. They seem to prefer city parks like the one in
Frederick we stopped at this AM where we got about 8 of them. Lots of
PHOEBE'S there, too.

Other birds on our lake were WOODIES, HOODIES and ONE FEMALE BUFFLEHEAD.
That's it.

I titled this post Aspen Run because that's where we are in N. Carroll
County. It's on the map if you got a good one. Otherwise it's about halfway
between Westminster and Hampstead. If you know where they are, let me know.
I been lost out here for years.
