To give more point to the changing kaeidoscope of North Beach marsh, I should
add these sightings, made over the last few days in the hopes of finding
Blue-winged Teal, a very difficult bird for Cv Co --

Apr 1 4pm            Apr 3 9am      Apr 4 1pm
NOPI     2*                0                  0
GWTE  24            120                 0
BOGU ~10            20                  110, 2 w/all-black heads- a plumage
seldom seen on wintering grounds
GRYE    0                0                   3
SNEG    0                0                   2
* Not seen in marsh, but actually *in the Bay* opposite, at least 100' out. Also
difficult for CV Co.

Joe walked the ACLT trails in Port Republic this morning and saw four bright
yellow PALM WARBLERS.

At North Beach he found 3 BLUE-WINGED TEAL, 4 SNOWY EGRETS, and 45 BONAPARTE'S
GULLS.

I'm in Baltimore and had a fairly quiet walk at Cromwell, though a noisy pair of
BELTED KINGFISHERS was entertaining. They were active near a hole in the
streambank on the Sherwood end of the trail.
