Spring Beauty is carpeting a section of Perryville Community Park near the
old picnic pavilion. It's gorgeous to see so much of it. There is also a
section of Dutchman's Breeches in the same area, and daffodils are rampant.

Bird activity there was low today. The pair of Bald Eagles were both perched
in trees across Mill Creek. I didn't have a scope with me so I couldn't see
activity in or near the nest, although one of the eagles was only a few feet
away from it. This was in the afternoon, so maybe it was eaglet nap time.
There were only a few ducks, more than a dozen Ruddies and a handful of
Ring-necked. Other than two singing Phoebes and one singing Carolina
Chickadee, the only other birds were Starlings (I hate to admit it but they
looked very dapper in their iridescence) and some squabbling Fish Crows.

On the way home, I saw a Canada Goose nesting on the island in the big pond
on Warburton Road.
