Dear all: starting this week, I am going to be doing at-least weekly
bird surveys at Governor's Bridge Natural Area. ... Located near the
intersections of US Route 50 and Route 301 in the Bowie area, this
property has produced some nice surprises in past years, including
Olive-sided Flycatcher, Mourning Warbler, etc. (It's also conveniently
located just off my commute route into DC!)

It will be hard to fill the shoes of the estimable Chris Murray, who
used to do this before his birding took him globe-trotting, but here
goes...

Today's highlights were a singing, but skittish, Northern Parula, and a
flyover American Kestrel. List below.
