I got a late start, but still found a few nice birds at Hains Point, DC today. Highlights were 2 pairs of BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLERS and PALM WARBLERS and flocks of  HERMIT THRUSH, BROWN THRASHERS, and EASTERN TOWHEES(6-8 birds per flock).

But the highlight was a cooperative male HOODED WARBLER who flitted around the brambles in on the golf course fence near the 2nd restroom (i.e. northern one) on the west side of the park.

There was also a nice GREEN HERON also found in one of the small puddles by the golf course fence near the first restroom on the west side of the park.

I got to Hains Point quite late (11:30 am), so I bet it was a lot better around dawn!
