Howdy-
After hearing rumors of an albino Belted Kingfisher seen yesterday at Rocky Gap, I though I'd try my luck. No luck with the kingfisher, but there were some good birds on the lake. There were two FORSTER'S TERNS associating with 30+ BONAPARTE'S GULLS (link to grainy documentation photo: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mattyfioner/5611005325 ). There was also one LONG-TAILED DUCK on the lake actively diving (too far for photos, see notes in eBird list below).
Along the lake circuit trail, I picked up PINE WARBLERS, a BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER and a YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER.
Good birding!
