I just stopped by Rock Run Mill for an evening walk and was amazed by the staggering numbers of Double-crested Cormorants roosting directly across the river. I didn't bother trying to count, they numbered in the thousands. The trees were covered from top to bottom and there were small flock after small flock still flying up the river and peppering the water. If each one eats a fish for breakfast tomorrow morning, there won't be any left for the fisherman, also present in large numbers this evening.
