Wood Ducks at Theodore Roosevelt Island

Hello, all.  There was a group of about 20 Wood Ducks in the tidal marsh at the south end of 
Theodore Roosevelt Island this morning.  Most were drakes.  Quite a sight.
 
Other birds seen were the usual residents.  No migrants yet.
 
BTW, I am not sure whether TR Island is technically in VA or MD, but have seen other posts
about sightings there on MD Osprey, so am sending this in.
