It was a windy morning at Lake Needwood. Of note was a likely Caspian
Tern flying along the shore, my first for Lake Needwood and the
county. The tern was in breeding plumage with a full black cap and
dark orange-red bill. I saw it early and late in the walk so it might
be lingering for a bit. I wonder if it was blown up from the
Chesapeake Bay or Potomac River by yesterday's storm system.

Other FOY birds were Northern Parula, House Wren and Barn Swallow.
