Susan Volman kindly sent me the directions to Monticello Park. In case others are interested, here they are.  -- Susan Hunt
Going south on Mt Vernon Ave, bear right on Russell Rd.  Go 0.5 mi and turn right on Beverly Drive.  The entrance to Monticello Park is on the left at the first curve.  You can park along Beverly Drive.  The best time to be there during migration is about 11:00 AM.  The birds come down to bathe in the stream when the sun hits it.

You can, of course get there from other directions -- just google map Monticello Park, Alexandria, VA.
