Mostly sunny; 65-82 degrees; poor visibility with fog; winds calm or from
the ESE or SE, 0-10 mph
Raptor Observations:
Swallow-tailed Kite at 10:34 EDT flew by headed NNE, 6th since first one in
1995. Last one was observed April 24, 2006. Another good run of
Sharp-shinned Hawks.
Non-raptor Observations:
680 Blue Jays; Green Heron 1; House Wren 3; American Bittern 1; Spotted
Sandpiper 6; Wood Thrush 2

Site Description:
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at
the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays.
