Hi --

This afternoon we had repeated visits to the thistle feeder of a flock of
PINE SISKINS, at any one time no more than 6-7 birds but very flighty in and
out so could well have been more.

No Juncos today -- at lest not while we were watching -- but still a number
of White-throated Sparrows.

A mid-day visit to Back River yielded only about 75 Bonaparte's Gulls, and a
majority immatures now. Several Laughing Gulls, 2-3 Caspian terns and a FOY
Forster's Tern and still impressive numbers of swallows. The migration of
Bonies seems about over but our notes indicate that this is still a good
time for unusual species such as Black-headed (had one this past week) and
Franklin's Gulls. Last year Barry had a Franklin's on April 20 at Back River
and we had multiples a couple of years ago in the first week of May at Hains
Point, DC.
