Highlights of spending a few early mornings at Little Bennett Regional Park
(northern Montgomery County) before work this past week, along the Kingsley
and Froggy Hollow trails, with most of them FOY birds for me:

Monday 4/18: Northern Parula (5), Black-and-white Warbler (3), Palm Warbler
(3), Louisiana Waterthrush (3), Blue-headed Vireo, Ovenbird (2), Pine
Warbler (2), Ruby-crowned Kinglet (several), Field Sparrow, Eastern Phoebe,
and flyover Barn Swallow and Common Grackle. Numerous Blue-gray Gnatcatchers
and Eastern Towhees have also been active and pairing up, along with
frequent activity by a pair of Pileated Woodpeckers.

Tuesday 4/19: Common Yellowthroat (2), Ruby-throated Hummingbird, and
Red-breasted Nuthatch in addition to most of the above species

Wednesday 4/20: Worm-eating Warbler was the best bird of the day, foraging
on the ground and evidently flocking with Dark-eyed Juncos and
White-throated Sparrows

Friday 4/22: Barred Owl vocalizations as I was leaving, along with nice
views of foraging warblers seen previously in the week. A pair of Common
Ravens were very active along Froggy Hollow Trail (I'd heard distant
vocalizations earlier in the week).

Other good birds along my commute (portions of northern Mongtomery and
Howard Counties) have been Brown Thrasher and Prairie Warbler.
