I had great morning and lunchtime walks around Schoolhouse Pond today, with my species list from the two walks coming to 56 total species, my highest tally so far this spring. Highlights included spectacular lunchtime views of the Yellow-throated Warbler. The bird was singing from the trees (about 30 feet up) along the trail at the backside of the pond. I got great views of the bird several times as it sang. The bird appeared to have all white lores, although I'd like to get another view or two of this to confirm. The birds have been active at the pond for 2+ weeks now.

Other birds present included a singing Black-throated Blue Warbler, Prothonotary Warbler, two American Redstarts several Northern Parula, several Common Yellowthroat, Yellow Warbler, and (this morning) a beautiful Scarlet Tanager. Waders included Great Blue Heron, Great Egret and Green Heron. 3 Solitary Sandpipers were present this morning. An Osprey was successfully hunting over the pond. Other active birds included a group of Yellow-rumped Warblers, Eastern Phoebe, and several Indigo Buntings.
