In addition to seeing the Gallinule with Robert, Marcia Balestri and her husband just after 8, I saw it again at about 9:30, this time joined by Mike Burchett and Betsy Bangert.  The bird was again about 70 feet from the parking lot in the cattails.  In the 2 hours I was there I heard the bird twice and saw it twice briefly, and the bird did not stray far.  But it did require some luck and patience.

Mike, Betsy and I also had a beautiful Ribbon Snake when we walked the loop around the near impoundment.  Then the fun was over and it was off to work...
