A continuing Sora was seen in the front pond near the entrance to Western Regional Park in Howard County today at 6:30 AM, and again at 12:30 PM. It tends to frequent the east (far) side of the pond, so checking out the reeds to the right of the large boulder would be a good place to start looking. It has also been seen at other spots around the pond so don't restrict your search to just the east side of the pond. The Sora has been seen on numerous occasions walking out in the open so playing a tape shouldn't be required to see the bird if you are patient. The Sora was initially found by David Cummings several days ago but wasn't advertised in hopes that it would stick around for May count. This is the first Sora seen at the park -- nice find David!!
