Spring migration always seems to end too soon and too abruptly, always a letdown. A little bit still going on at Cromwell. Yesterday I had a rb grosbeak and 9 warbler species, including a NoWa--along the east millbank trail (especially active was the area around the outdoor classroom behind the residence across from the parking lot). Today a good deal less activity overall. I had maybe 8 warbler species, with the best being a Canada. Far fewer migrants than yesterday. No singing black-throated blues but a couple of females. The orioles seemed to be singing la cu ca rah CHAH la cu ca rah CHAH over and over, and that was funny.
