We had a great migration celebration at Rock Creek Nature Center today from 9 to 3, sponsored by the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center and the National Park Service. I think the only migrant we had that Wallace didn't list for today was Gray-cheeked Thrush. It was seen twice, once at about 8:30 and once about 11. At 11, it was in the woods near back fence for the maintenance yard.

They need the sanctuary of the forest for a home
Where the Wood Thrush is singing
So raise a voice in harmony
We'll see what can be done
So the Wood Thrush will always be singing
