I arrived home from the wonderful MOS Conference in Garrett County, and my wife told me she had great views of a Veery in our small backyard earlier in the day while hearing another one singing in a neighbor’s yard!  When I went outside a while later to fill birdbaths and do a few other chores, I heard one of them singing nearby.  A really nice surprise since we have probably only had a Veery come by a handful of times in our many years of watching the yard.  

Of course it was very nice to hear quite a few of them on the nice field trips at the Conference too.  Many thanks to the organizers and to the many field trip leaders.
