Today I retrieved a piece of luggage I left at Wisp on Sunday when I checked out at the end of the most excellent conference.  I first stopped at the site of yesterday's Wilson's Phalarope, and as Paul Pisano posted, found a Cattle Egret instead of seeing the phalarope.  While I was in Garrett, I stopped at Broadford recreation area between 12:30 and 1 pm.  From the first parking lot after the entrance off Pittsburgh Avenue in Mountain Lake Park, I spied a distant Common Loon.  I drove to the ballfield area and saw the loon a lot closer.  The two Horned Grebes were near two boats near the opposite shore.  From the bridge just north of the intersection of Broadford Drive and Memorial Drive I saw two Ruddy Ducks, a male and a female.
