Hi All:

Last night as I sat out on my porch I realized that I hadn't heard the wood thrush call this spring. When I moved to this house that backs up on Northwest branch park, I would hear wood thrush, towhees, catbirds and others in the predawn and dusk chorus. Several years ago the towhee ceased to be heard. Last year I heard no catbirds and now this year I only hear robins, scarlet tanagers and cardinals. What a loss and a tragedy - not to hear the fluting sounds of the wood thrush!
