This morning while doing the Newark (Worcester) BBS route I observed a single Eurasian Collared-Dove perched on the power lines on the South side of Cedartown Road, about midway between Basket Switch and Taylor Roads. I drove past the large pigeon/dove on the wires (my next stop was along Cedartown near Taylor) and looking back west in good light observed a large sandy/tannish dove with a dark chevron at the base of the nape, and very dark folded primaries contrasting with the paler inner wing and wing coverts. I went for my camera but unfortunately the bird flew (to the northwest, in the direction of the house at the northeast corner of Basket Switch and Cedertown), and I didn't get any photos.

This is the second time I have observed EUCD on this BBS route, the last time a couple years ago in "downtown" Newark.
