Mississippi Kite still at Hughes Hollow between 12:30 pm and 1:. It flew in
front of me just down from the yellow gate blocking the road from the West
parking lot, perhaps 30 feet forward and 30 feet up. Unmistakable thanks to
the nice heads up from Jared Fisher. It must have been perched in a tree on
the parking lot road side of the west impoundment. Shortly afterward I found
it soaring in a circle over the East impoundment, Hunting Quarter Road side
and was able to get a number of, albeit back lit photos, distant but show
clearly what it was. Will report on the passerines and post photos later but
I thought a timely e-mail important.
