I visited Swan Creek between 12:30 and 1:00 today and saw one BLACK-NECKED
STILT in the far right (SE) corner of the north cell. There may have been
more. I had missed it on several scans and wouldn't have seen it except
that it was moving. Part of that corner is obscured by higher ground, which
this bird disappeared behind moments after I saw it. The distance is long and
the heat shimmer was terrible, so the view was identifiable if not very
satisfying. Mid day is probably not the time to go.
Thanks again to Stan and Ed for putting in the time at Swan Creek, and
especially for promptly getting the word out about these great finds!
